Where to drink mezcal in La Paz

A candlelit mezcalería with serious flights and a weekend-only bar behind Biznaga: mezcal, with reverence.

Mezcal is meant to be sipped, not shot. These are the two places in Centro where we go to take it slow.

Mezcalería La Miserable

Mezcalería La Miserable is the one for agave — flights, a serious mezcal reputation, and a room that gets packed on weekends. Ask for a recommendation, sip it slowly, and don't you dare shoot it.

Árbol

Tucked at the back of Biznaga, Árbol opens on weekends with amazing mezcal drinks, good music, and even better vibes — worth seeking out.

More from our drinks guides: coffee, daytime hangs, beer, wine, cocktails.
